Ukelele

Got myself a Ukulele (under the pretence it was a ‘baby guitar’ for my son).

And sure.. he uses it a little. He has his toy mechanical piano; his drumset.. but mainly the ukulele stays in my ‘man-cave’ (the name my wife uses for the little room where I keep my computer and music stuff).

It’s not that easy to play ukulele I find. Some chords are very tight with normal size hands.. like d-minor.. but even G-major. The string tension is also very low and you need to be careful not to bend the notes.

The Ukulele I got is a Mahalo Rainbow Red and it was $13.50 in a thrift store. Top / bottom is linden (basswood); tension screws are geared.
