I need to start using recording sheets. With my little 6-channel porta and no effects.. maybe not so essential. But with 16 channels; insert effects; send-return effects; panning; gain; recording level; microphone type; stereo-mono .. it’s a lot to remember. And if I work with two or three songs simultaneously, it’s impossible.

The best is to keep a book.

The next best thing is using sc.

SC is a spreadsheet calculator that runs in terminal.
I’ve a made an empty recording sheet that I can copy for every new song.

You can even have it look a little nice if you enable colors in .scrc (set color). The great thing using a spread-sheet application is that you can use some automation for things.
