Kafka_feels
When you are young and read Kafka.. you think: ‘Wow! Here is this morally superior being.. feeling EVERYWHERE! He must be right about everything.. because he feels it.’
And you get older. You read his diary.. and his letters (most famously to his father and his fiancé). And you still think he’s honest and true. Everything he says is based on what he feel.
And you get older.. and start to hear something else: a man who complains a lot. He doesn’t want this and this. It doesn’t feel right. He wants to marry.. then he doesn’t. He want’s to write.. but dare not. He want’s to suffer alone but needs the audience. He can’t stand up to his father.
And he has ONE alibi: he felt it.
The favorite quote of morons: ‘A feeling can never be wrong’. Next favourite quote is ‘No human is illegal’.
Both quotes SOUND great.. but CONTAIN nothing.
