When you read ‘Hunger’ by Knut Hamsun and then ‘The Invisible Man’ by George Orwell.. it is almost the same book.
Griffin is a total egoistic and so is the unnamed character in Hamsun’s book.
Both take lodging and experience a growing hostility from their host.
In both cases the hostility stems from how they over-estimate themselves and their powers.
In both cases their suffering is self-inflicted.
